Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts - Printmaking

Printmakers analyze, transform and replicate information using design, drawing, painting, book arts, letterpress, video, and often sculpture and installation. Montserrat’s Printmaking graduates enjoy careers as educators, printers, designers, book artists, and also work in galleries and museums. In class, students learn established processes, such as silkscreen, etching, relief-printing, mono-printing, lithography, and diverse media to find the combination of textures, techniques and images that best communicate their developing vision. Students draw from visual, textual, and other sources to create printed work in the form of an edition, multiple, or one-of-a-kind image. Although traditional image-making strategies may inform the work, students often supplement them using digital and photographic technology.
