They are not designed to be an initial preparation for teaching and do not lead to teacher registration. Graduates are suitable for careers in a variety of positions ranging from work as teachers in school classrooms, school coordinators and principals, curriculum and policy advisers in departments of education, and as advisers to government and other policymakers.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the Master of Education will qualify for either the 2-year or 1.5-year program. Applicants who hold an approved bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible for the basic entry-level and will complete up to 72 units of study. Applicants who hold a bachelor's degree in education, teaching, or a closely related discipline are eligible for the 1.5-year program and will complete up to 54 units of study. Different specializations may have additional entry requirements.
