PSW Opportunity

International students studying at Flinders University will be eligible to access an additional year in Australia on a post-study work visa, which means a bachelor graduate can get up to 3 years of PSW visa.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

 

The entry requirements for this course have changed to the following:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in an area other than nursing that does not permit them to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a registered nurse; and
  • Applicants must have successfully completed 9 units (2 topics) (0.25 Full-Time Equivalent) of study at a higher education level focused on an understanding of body structures and function such as human biology, physiology, and anatomy; and
  • Must demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 7.0 overall and 7.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening, or the equivalent.

Applicants can demonstrate they meet the English language requirements in the following ways:

  • English is the primary language and before the course start date, they will have satisfactorily completed at least six years of schooling- including at least two years of secondary school – in English in one of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, Canada, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, OR
  • Have undertaken, or will undertake, an approved English language proficiency test and achieved a minimum of Academic IELTS 7.0 overall and 7.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening or the equivalent result in an approved test (OET, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT), OR
  • Before the course, the start date will have successfully completed a minimum period of 3 years full-time equivalent continuous education taught in English in one of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, Canada, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom.
