PSW Opportunity

International students studying at Flinders University will be eligible to access an additional year in Australia on a post-study work visa, which means a bachelor graduate can get up to 3 years of PSW visa.

International Qualification

  • Senior Secondary Schooling awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or the Council for the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examinations

Minimum Entry Requirement (comparable to an ATAR of 65) to Flinders Bachelor degree

  • Completion of a CBSE School Certificate with an average of at least 65% in best 4 subjects (excluding local language) or completion of an ISC School Certificate with an average of at least 70% in best 4 subjects (excluding local language).

Nepal

International Qualification

  • Proficiency Certificate (3 years)

Minimum Entry Requirement (comparable to an ATAR of 65) to Flinders Bachelor degree

  • Successful completion of the Proficiency Certificate with a minimum grade average of 65% in 4 major subjects

Inherent requirements

The Inherent Course Requirements statement is designed to help prospective students make informed decisions about whether they will be in a position to complete the requirements of the Bachelor of Nursing and/or the Bachelor of Midwifery. Prospective students who intend to enroll in this course should carefully check the requirements listed in the document below to determine whether they are able to meet them.

Applications for semester 1, 2021

The English language requirements for this course have changed to the following as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia:

Must demonstrate English language proficiency of Academic IELTS 7.0 overall and 7.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening, or the equivalent.

Applicants can demonstrate they meet the English language proficiency in the following ways:

  • English is the primary language and before the course start date, they will have satisfactorily completed at least six years of schooling- including at least two years of secondary school – in English in one of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, Canada, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, OR
  • Have undertaken, or will undertake, an approved English language proficiency test and achieved a minimum of Academic IELTS 7.0 overall and 7.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening or the equivalent result in an approved test (OET, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT), OR
  • Before the course, the start date will have met the requirement to have successfully completed a minimum period of 2* years full-time equivalent continuous education taught in English in one of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States, Canada, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom.
