Bachelor of Psychology with Honours
The Bachelor of Psychology with Honours is our premier course designed for high-performing students who are aiming for a professional career in Psychology. It is an accredited, integrated, four-year Honours course that requires a high ATAR for initial entry [Rule (a)]; or admission only to the Honours year, based on a completed three-year Bachelor degree that includes a three-year sequence in Psychology that has been accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council [Rule (b)]*. However, you can also transfer to this course from other courses, such as the Bachelor of Psychological Science, with sufficient grades in first and second-year Psychology.

If you are interested in a career as a psychologist, after successfully completing your fourth year, you will need to undertake two years of accredited postgraduate training or supervised experience. At UNE this can be done via the Masters or Ph.D. courses offered by the School of Psychology.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A candidate shall hold a three-year AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree which includes a three-year sequence in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council; or a three-year AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree and an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma degree which includes a three-year sequence in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council; and have achieved a GPA of at least 6.25 in the 200/300/400-level Psychology units within the accredited Psychology sequence of units.
Please note: satisfaction of these requirements does not guarantee a place in the program as there is a quota on Psychology Honours admissions and selection is based solely on academic merit.
