UNE’s Bachelor of Economics with Honours provides you with the advanced economic analytical skills needed to excel in positions such as policy officer, analyst, economic modeler, or adviser in organizations including:  

• public services such as the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, the Reserve Bank of Australia or Treasury 
• federal and state government departments 
• private sector businesses 
• International agencies such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the United Nations.  

Economists have hourly earnings that put them in the top 3 percent of earnings by occupation, a Reserve Bank of Australia analysis of Australian Taxation Office data has found.

1. A candidate shall have:

• fulfilled the requirements for the AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Economics at the University of New England; and
• completed units with an ECON and/or QM and/or GEPL prefix to the value of at least 24 credit points at 300 level; and
• passed units with an ECON and/or QM and/or GEPL prefix to the value of at least 36 credit points at 200 level or above at Credit level or better; or

2. fulfilled the requirements of an equivalent AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification and met requirements considered by the Head of School to be equivalent to those specified in Rule 1.
