Professional recognition
Completion of the accounting major in the Bachelor of Business component, plus four additional units (see Course Rules and Plans) will qualify you for admission to the major professional accounting bodies (CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA)). Choose this option if you want an understanding of accounting but also want a broad set of business skills. You can also study accounting in the Bachelor of Accounting.

The Human Resource Management major in the Bachelor of Business component is accredited with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

• Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
• Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
• Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
• The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

• Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
• Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
• Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
• PhD students can stay upto 4 years

For direct admission into undergraduate courses offered by UNE, you must have completed an educational qualification considered to be at least equivalent to completion of Year 12 in Australia.

English language tests
UNE accepts students who have either:

An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) academic overall score of at least 6.0, with no sub-band less than 5.5.
A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 213 in the computer-based test OR at least 79 in the internet-based test. You must receive a rating of no less than 22 in the written component.
A Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) minimum overall score of 57 with no skill less than 50.
To be eligible, you must have received your English language test score within two years of the date of application for admission to UNE.
