Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Acute Care)
The course aims to facilitate development of specialized knowledge, skills, and attributes for application in a range of acute care nursing environments. Topics cover areas such as prevention and management of cardiovascular disease, managing high acuity surgical care, managing high acuity medical care, contemporary issues in pediatric nursing, critical care nursing theory, acute mental health nursing theory, principles of emergency nursing, and an acute care observational placement.

PSW Opportunity
PG Diploma and Certificate courses are a pathway to the Master's Degree and can get up to 3 years of PSW visa after completing Masters.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must normally hold a nursing degree or equivalent and must be registered nurses in a country other than Australia. Applicants must also provide a supporting statement nominating their area of clinical preference in acute care nursing for university sourced observational professional experience placement. The course will not lead to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
