As a member of the School of Law, all of your classes will be delivered by experienced legal professionals. As a result you will gain a thorough knowledge of the law, coupled with the practical skills necessary for the workforce, such as problem solving, letter writing, public speaking, advocacy and research skills.

The Bachelor of Arts (Politics & Journalism) program focuses on combining a thorough understanding of politics with practical knowledge about journalism, communication and the media. This unique degree gives students the grounding to begin a career in government, public affairs, journalism, media, policy development, and of course, politics. This program is designed to combine political theory with real-life skills and workplace practices.
The politics component of this degree focuses on giving students a unique experience of how the big decisions are really made and on what basis they are made. In the journalism component, a specific perspective on the nature of traditional and new forms of journalism is offered, how it is created and how it impacts on our public consciousness. These areas fit together naturally and lend themselves to opportunities in journalism and public relations.
