Bachelor of Arts (Major: Social Justice)
The Social Justice Major combines several disciplines such as politics, conflict studies, psychology and literature to prepare you to work in the challenging but rewarding area of social justice. Social justice and its pursuit are an important part of any liberal, progressive and democratic society.
Why study this major?
This Major aims to link social theory with social action and change. You will develop a critical understanding of key concepts of social justice, including the concept of universal human rights.
To complete this Major, you will take the Social Justice Service Learning & Community Engagement course in a local or international setting. You will develop critical skills such as leadership through service, ethical decision-making and self-reflection. Experiences in the placements are viewed through a social justice lens as part of active citizenship and community participation. During this course, you will discuss issues in the local or international community, your role within the community, and social justice issues impact daily life.

Fremantle Campus
Our foundation Campus is located in the historic West End of the port city of Fremantle, south of Perth. Housed within beautifully restored heritage buildings, it provides a ‘town university’ of great character. The iconic Campus is close to the Fremantle Harbour, cafe?s, shops and the famous ‘Cappuccino Strip’, and all major transport hubs.

PSW Opportunity
Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane:
Regular 2 years post study work visa for international students completing Bachelors and Masters degrees (minimum 92 weeks), 3 years for Masters by Research and 4 years for PhD. graduates
Other Locations (Regional centres and other regional areas):
International students studying at regional universities will be eligible to access an additional
2 years in Australia on a post-study work visa
(Which means a Bachelors or Masters graduate can get up to 4 years of PSW visa)
