Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management

Essential knowledge and skills for working in the travel and tourism industry are delivered so you'll be job ready on completion of the dual qualifications. The units delivered will prepare you for a wide variety of industry possibilities, such as travel consulting, working on a cruise ship, leading tours, managing resorts or departments and more.

You will undertake units in airline reservations, international fares and ticketing, local and international destination studies, customer service, sales, and brochure production, as well as resort management, including front office reception services and reservations and Finance units relevant to travel and tourism businesses.

During this course, you will be offered the opportunity to experience domestic travel to destinations such as Sydney or the Gold Coast and to undertake a short sea cruise in order to increase your tourism knowledge.

This exposure to the cruising market, now one of the largest growth areas in tourism and tour guiding, will provide you students with a solid foundation for a range of roles within this diverse international industry.
