Across the world, the health and aged care sectors are experiencing substantial reform and are growing rapidly. These courses enable individuals from any professional background to work in health-related areas to deepen the knowledge base on which their practice is based.

Potential occupations include management and executive positions in health and aged care for:

• other professionals involved in these industries – eg accountants, data and IT specialists, policy workers.

International students studying at Flinders University will be eligible to access an additional year in Australia on a post-study work visa, which means Masters graduate can get up to 3 years of PSW visa. 

• Applicants for the master's degrees must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. Applicants for the Master of Health Administration and the Master of Science (Health Administration) must have at least four years’ professional experience in the health or aged care sector following completion of their approved degree or equivalent qualification.

Graduates of the Flinders Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Administration, Graduate Certificate in Health Administration, and Graduate Diploma in Health Administration may also be accepted for entry to the Master of Health Administration once they have gained at least four years’ professional experience.
