Human Resource Management (Joint Honours) BA/BSc (Hons)
The BA/BSc (Hons) Human Resource Management (Joint Honours) course, focuses on people management, through a combination of business related, organisational behaviour and human resource management (HRM) modules.
We will support you to achieve your career and study ambitions, which is why if you complete our Employability Plus Gold programme or Changemaker Gold certificate alongside your studies and if you haven’t secured full-time employment 12 months after graduating* we will secure a three – six month paid internship for you, or support you into postgraduate study.
Human Resource Management (HRM) is attractive, to those who wish to study business and have a particular interest in the people who work for organisations. Our course integrates business issues with the management of people, helping you apply your learning to real life scenarios.
On the Joint Honours course you will be able to select two subjects to study. At stage two, you have the choice to continue with equal emphasis on your two subjects. Alternatively, you can switch to a major and minor split if you prefer one subject. Your degree title will be derived from the two subjects that you choose.

Waterside Campus
In the summer of 2018 the University of Northampton moved to the brand-new Waterside Campus. This seven-year project saw a neglected brownfield site transformed into a successful and impressive new campus that facilitated a radical re-engineering of the University in terms of both teaching methodology and governance structures. aterside is a waterfront site of 24 hectares on the edge of the town centre. Its successful completion has turned a derelict site into a leading facility in the higher education sector. The project brief emphasised integration, of the University into the town and local community, and of departments, facilities and teams within the University itself. New pedestrian and road bridges and cycle routes link the site to the town, and public facilities and commercial outlets are part of a Waterside experience which continues beyond the University to local historic buildings and parks.
