English and Drama Joint Honours BA (Hons)
This Joint Honours course will develop your literary and Dramatic ways of thinking. It will introduce you to a fascinating range of literary texts and periods allowing you to develop your skills as a thinker, reader, writer and critic. By studying English alongside Drama you will explore a variety of practical and theoretical approaches and performance styles from a range of historical and cultural perspectives. The combined courses will develop transferable skills that will boost your employability.

This joint honours course aims to provide students with a comprehensive and thorough understanding of English from the Renaissance to the present day. Drama is an experiential practice-led discipline in which students practically explore key aspects of theatre and performance practice styles, conventions and theories across a wide range of historical and cultural backgrounds.

Waterside Campus
In the summer of 2018 the University of Northampton moved to the brand-new Waterside Campus. This seven-year project saw a neglected brownfield site transformed into a successful and impressive new campus that facilitated a radical re-engineering of the University in terms of both teaching methodology and governance structures. aterside is a waterfront site of 24 hectares on the edge of the town centre. Its successful completion has turned a derelict site into a leading facility in the higher education sector. The project brief emphasised integration, of the University into the town and local community, and of departments, facilities and teams within the University itself. New pedestrian and road bridges and cycle routes link the site to the town, and public facilities and commercial outlets are part of a Waterside experience which continues beyond the University to local historic buildings and parks.
