LLB (Hons) Law
The Law LLB degree aims to provide you with an academically rigorous, practical and diverse education in the discipline of Scots Law. The course provides you with the knowledge, required by the Law Society of Scotland, to enter the legal profession and the flexibility to tailor your subject profile to suit your intended career path.
The combination of private and public law subjects and the development of key transferable skills will help equip you with the professional knowledge to meet the challenges and demands of the employment sectors, whether in the legal profession or elsewhere. Practical experience is developed through oral presentations, group work, research and legal debating also known as mooting. You will have the opportunity to take part in internal, national and international mooting competitions across the world and benefit from our on-campus Moot Court.

PLACEMENTS
Optional, paid, 3-month (summer) or 12-month placements can be undertaken in this course. You will be supported by a dedicated Placements Coordinator within the school who oversees the placement module. You will also be assigned a Placement Supervisor who will carry out regular visits to your placement provider and meet with you and your employer. The confidence and experience you could acquire during a placement will make you more employable and put you one step ahead of the competition when you graduate.
