Equine Training and Management, BSc Hons

This comprehensive degree covers all aspects of equine management to equip you with the right skills to run a business that includes the handling and management of horses.

 This degree in equine training and management will provide you with the necessary skills for management within a commercial or competition yard environment, or related industry.

The course is structured to allow you to pursue your own interests, combining theory with practical outside demonstrations, visits, and seminars. Areas of focus include the training and breeding of horses, equine science and estate management. Individual modules cover equine anatomy and physiology, equine welfare and husbandry, equine biomechanics, equine nutrition, and organization and event planning.

The course is offered by one of the university's partner colleges: Hadlow College in Kent.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

For entry to our four-year extended degree programs, you will need to have met the following:

  • Standard XII with a minimum of 50%
  • 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements

For standard entry to our Bachelor's programs, you will need to have met the following:

  • Standard XII with a minimum of 60%(70% for Law, Architecture)
  • 70% in English in Standard XII or English language requirements
  • Some Bachelor's degrees allow advanced entry to year 2 or year 3, depending on your study history.

For advanced entry to Year 2 and Year 3 you will need to complete:

  • Year 1 of a relevant degree with a minimum of 60%
  • Postgraduate Degrees (Masters)
