Long Term and Chronic Condition Management, MSc

Long-term and chronic conditions can have profound and far reaching implications on all aspects of peoples’ lives, resulting in often complex care and support needs for patients and their families and carers.

This Master’s degree will equip you with the knowledge and experience to understand the needs of people living with and affected by long-term and chronic conditions and to design and manage health and care services accordingly.

Your studies will take a multi-disciplinary approach with collaboration encouraged across the various professions involved in long term and chronic condition management.

Singleton Park Campus

Travelling west on the M4 leave the motorway at junction 42 and follow signs for Swansea on the A483 (Fabian Way). On crossing the River Tawe the A483 becomes the A4067. Continue west along this road, passing Sainsbury’s Superstore on the left-hand side of the road. After approximately 1.5 miles there is a footbridge over the road. The University’s main entrance lies just before the footbridge and is controlled by traffic lights. As you approach the lights, keep to the right-hand lane and prepare to turn right into the University. There is a Visitors’ Car Park immediately right of the main entrance. There are large Park-and-Ride sites at Port Tennant and on the A483 east of Swansea, at Landore, on the A4067 north of the city. All sites are open from 7.00 am until 7.00 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this course you will need;

An appropriate degree or its equivalent from an approved UK institution (preferably 2:1 or above) and evidence of recent academic study
A professional qualification and a minimum of two year’s relevant work experience and responsibilities considered by the University to be acceptable for the purposes of postgraduate admission
If your first language is not English you will need to have a minimum of IELTS 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in all domains, or a University approved equivalent, prior to starting the programme
