MA in International Relations
In the International Relations Program(IRP), there are two concentrations: a Master of Arts in International Relations(IR) or a Master of Arts in International Peace Studies(IPS).
For the MA in International Relations, students learn the basic theories of International relations and study global affairs with a special emphasis on the Asia Pacific region and Japan in particular. The islamic world also receives considerable attention. The program is constructed to allow students maximum freedom to pursue their own interests within the specializations offered by the IUJ faculty.
The MA in International Peace Studies track focuses on how peace and security may be created in conflict areas. It examines methods of conflict resolution and peace building for a sustainable peace. A clear link is made between peace, security and economic development.
