Throughout this course you will gain both theoretical and practical insights into infant and child development and how mental health adapts and changes across a person’s lifetime. What you will study
Studying both atypical and typical development from infancy to old age, our course will expose you to important, emerging research and exciting topics in developmental psychology.

We teach you the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of different approaches to studying developmental processes, including the range of theories, methods and practical issues involved in working with individuals at different developmental stages. You’ll learn about mental health issues and evaluate therapeutic interventions for a range of developmental difficulties.

You’ll also gain valuable professional experience thanks to our supported placements in various developmental psychology settings, giving you a competitive edge. Your placements could take place in clinical, educational, social care or research settings, allowing you to build important transferable skills and improve your professional practice.

A minimum of a 2:1 UK honours degree in Psychology. 

Joint honours degrees to be assessed by the Faculty on a case by case basis.
