Biology with a Year Abroad BSc

Course description
This course focuses on whole-organism biology. Specialist modules cover animal behaviour, evolutionary biology, ecology, genetics, climate change and molecular biology.

You spend the second year at a major university in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia Singapore or Hong Kong, gaining first-hand knowledge of ecosystems and organisms in your chosen region. You don't add a year to your degree to study abroad and you have reduced tuition fees during that year.

Returning to Sheffield for your third year, you'll follow a programme of study that builds on your knowledge and skills with a research project and dissertation.

If you want to study biology, but don't meet the entry requirements to go straight into the first year, our Biosciences with a Foundation Year could be for you. After successfully completing the one-year programme, you'll progress onto the first year of your chosen degree.
