• Allows you to explore your mathematical interests to a greater depth and to obtain a higher level qualification than the standard three-year BSc degree
• Provides you with an opportunity to apply mathematics, statistics and computational modelling to tackle problems in energy engineering, management and policy
• Combines traditional mathematics subjects with advanced courses in statistics, programming, and data science, preparing you for the array of numerate and analytical professions
• Option to study advanced topics in renewable energy technology including: Energy Management, Marine Renewable Energy and Hydropower, Solar Power, Wind Power and Smart Energy and Energy Storage Technologies
• Integral to the fourth year is a combined industrial placement and research project that gives you important hands-on experience and an opportunity to put your mathematical expertise into practice
• Opportunity to spend time studying at one of our partner universities in the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand for a semester during your third year
