• Allows you to explore your mathematical interests to a greater depth and to obtain a higher level qualification than the standard three-year BSc degree
• Offers you an opportunity to explore mathematics and statistics, and the development of underpinning theory relevant to applications in ecology and to understanding the evolution of life itself
• Option to study advanced topics in ecology and evolution in numerous optional biosciences modules including: Evolutionary Ecology; Introduction to Ecological Consultancy; Co-evolutionary Interactions; Symbiosis in Marine Systems
• Integral to the fourth year is a combined industrial placement and research project that gives you important hands-on experience and an opportunity to put your mathematical expertise into practice
• During the fourth year ‘Field Course’ you’ll spend two weeks in Kenya witnessing the awesome wildlife of Africa while also learning how to design, carry out and interpret your very own field study in the wild
