The history of the School of Computer of Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics can be traced back to the bachelor's degree in computer and application of Shenyang Institute of Aeronautical Technology in 1978. With the development of computer technology and the adjustment of the school's running ideas, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1995, and was renamed the School of Computer in 2003 and continues to this day.

The School of Computer Science has been recruiting four-year undergraduate students in computer and application majors (adjusted to computer science and technology majors in 1999). It is one of the earlier computer undergraduate majors established in Liaoning Province and has been the focus of our school since its establishment. Construction major, in 2010 was named "Liaoning Province specialty." In 2012, it began to recruit international students for undergraduate and master's degrees.

With the development of information technology, the School of Computer Science is actively developing undergraduate majors / directions. It started to recruit four-year undergraduate students majoring in network engineering in 2005, four-year undergraduate students majoring in computer science and technology (embedded systems) in 2009, and computer science and technology (in the direction of Internet of Things technology) in 2011. Professional four-year undergraduate students. In 2013, four-year undergraduate students majored in software engineering were recruited. The college currently has 1,180 undergraduates.

The School of Computer Science has the right to grant master's degrees in two first-level disciplines in computer science and technology and software engineering, and the right to train masters of engineering in two fields: computer technology and software engineering. In 2002, the second-level discipline of computer application technology was rated as "Key Liaoning Province's Discipline", and the second-level discipline of computer software and theory was rated as "Liaoning Key Cultivation Discipline" in 2007. In 2009, in the "Discipline Construction Project for Promoting the Core Competitiveness of Higher Education Institutions in Liaoning Province", both the second-level discipline of computer application technology and the second-level discipline of computer software and theory were identified as key disciplines with advantageous characteristics, which were continuously obtained in 2010 and 2011. Supported by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, it ranked 64th nationally for computer science and technology in the subject evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2012. Liaoning Province ranked third after Northeastern University and Dalian University of Technology. There are more than 200 postgraduates studying at home and abroad.

The School of Computer Science has 64 faculty members, including 6 professors, 31 associate professors, and 34 lecturers / engineers; 19 teachers have PhDs, 39 have master's degrees, and 7 have PhDs on the job. At present, there are 2 provincial-level discipline leaders, 3 talents with 100 million talents in Liaoning Province, 3 talents with 4 levels, 1 talent with 10,000 levels; 1 innovation team from the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau, and 1 science and technology innovation team from universities in Liaoning Province.

The School of Computer Science now has the Department of Computer Science and Technology, the Department of Software Engineering, the Department of Network Engineering, the Department of Internet of Things Engineering, an experimental center, an international student work teaching and research room, and an undergraduate innovation laboratory. In November 2009, it was approved to establish the Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Large-scale Distributed Systems, which consists of the Distributed Systems Research Office, the Network and Information Security Research Office, the Network and Communication Research Laboratory, the Database Technology Research Laboratory, the Embedded System Research Laboratory, and the Computer Graphic and image processing laboratory and other seven professional laboratories.

There are 7 provincial and municipal key laboratories and research centers in the School of Computer and its affiliated disciplines: Among them, one is the Liaoning Provincial Engineering Center: the Liaoning Provincial Knowledge Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction Engineering Technology Research Center; the three Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratories: Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing, Cooperative Translation Provincial Key Engineering Laboratory, Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Large-scale Distributed Systems; 2 municipal laboratories. In 2015, the “National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Multilingual Collaborative Translation Technology” declared by the Shenhang Human-Machine Intelligence Research Center (Shenyang Gewei Software Co., Ltd.) affiliated to the discipline was approved as a national laboratory.

The School of Computer Science and its disciplines have strong overall scientific research strength, professional teachers have deep academic attainments, strong engineering practice ability, and have close links with aerospace enterprises and institutions, local research institutes and manufacturing enterprises. In the research directions of natural language processing, network and information security, database technology, distributed systems, embedded systems, digital (medical) image processing, a research team with a reasonable structure and a stable research direction has been formed. In the past 3 years, he has undertaken 17 national scientific research projects with a cumulative funding of 28.71 million yuan; 24 provincial scientific research projects with a cumulative funding of 14.75 million yuan; 10 municipal scientific research projects with a cumulative scientific research funding of 21.36 million yuan and horizontal scientific research funding of 47 million yuan The total amount of scientific research projects is 111.82 million yuan. He has published more than 400 papers, including 15 SCI searches and 17 patents. Three new science and technology awards were added in 2014: the first prize of the China Aviation Science and Technology Progress Award, the third prize of Shenyang Science and Technology Progress Award, and the third prize of Liaoning Natural Achievement Award.
