Arts and Festivals Management BA (Hons)

Arts and Festivals Management is an applied subject where you develop an understanding of academic debates and demonstrate your practical skills through projects and two practical placements in your chosen arts sector.

The course structure allows you to develop your interests and specialise as you progress through it. You will develop a range of interdisciplinary skills such as teamwork, marketing and management theory, fundraising, business planning, licensing, health and safety, programming and cultural policy. The course will equip you with the practical tools and skills to become leaders in key areas of the cultural arena, including theatres, music venues, galleries, museums and festivals.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry criteria

Typical entry requirements 

  • 112 points from at least 2 A levels or
  • BTEC Extended Diploma DMM or
  • International Baccalaureate: 26+ Points

Plus five GCSEs grades 9-4 including English Language or Literature at grade 4 or above.

  • Pass Access with 30 Level 3 credits at Merit (or equivalent) and GCSE  English (Language or Literature) at grade 4 or above.

We will normally require students who have had a break from full-time education before undertaking the Access course.

  • We also accept the BTEC First Diploma plus two GCSEs including English Language or Literature at grade 4 or above

Interview required: No

India

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

Sri Lanka

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.
