BA in Fashion Design
Develop fundamental skills in art and design, and discover your personal style with our BA in Fashion Design.
Griffith College's BA in Fashion Design is a three-year level 7 degree course available on a full-time basis. The course is currently validated as an exit award of the level 8 BA(Hons) in Fashion Design after 2 years. This interdisciplinary programme introduces a broad range of art and design disciplines alongside the skills required to design a business-aware fashion collection.
The core Fashion Design and Garment Construction modules develop practical skills and explore a personal design style—from idea generation, design development and pattern creation, through to garment construction using contemporary production techniques.
We also offer a range of guest lecturers with workshops to develop embellishment and knitwear design skills.
Students learn to think creatively when faced with design challenges, adapt to industry changes and develop the key skills required to design a fashion collection.
Our graduates have strong brand communication and entrepreneurial skills, their collection can be found at Brown Thomas Create, Havana Boutique, Marion Cuddy, Om Diva and at the Design House.
