Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Planning and Environmental Management
Program Available at Bolton Street
Planning in this context is all about shaping the future of our towns, cities and regions. Environmental management is about ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations. This program will prepare you to be a decision-maker and leader in planning our urban and rural environments, and in developing environmental management solutions to problems such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
In Year 2 you can choose either spatial planning or environmental management modules. In Year 4 you will fully specialize.
Projects and fieldwork, under the supervision of practicing professionals, are an integral part of the program. In the third year, you’ll enjoy a field trip to another EU state. Planning graduates will be able to prepare complex development plans, carry out sensitive environmental assessments and work with communities and developers to resolve difficult planning issues.
Environmental management graduates will be equipped to carry out environmental audits, prepare and implement plans for waste and resources management, and prepare and evaluate environmental impact and risk assessment.
