BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker: Glass and Ceramics
This exciting new course embraces the possibilities of making for both art and design. Glass and Ceramics are a focus but you can work in other materials, for example, wood, metal and plastic - as well as digital media. You will work in excellent individual student workspaces in studios in National Glass Centre and FabLab, bringing you into contact with professionals in the field as well as opportunities such as external competitions and exhibitions.

Job Opportunity Potential
We aim to develop you as graduates who have the skills to work in diverse art, design and making contexts. You are likely to develop ‘portfolio careers’ that might involve a mix of working as artists for gallery exhibitions, designers making work to commission for specific contexts, and makers who can fabricate work for yourselves or others.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To study for a University of Sunderland degree you need to meet the course entry requirements.
If English is not your first language you should have at least one of the following qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Generally, the course requirements will be a minimum score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 or higher in each component: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
Any score above 180.
Cambridge Certification in Advanced English (CAE)
No score lower than 170.
O-Level English Language or GCSE English Language
You need grade C or above (UK Exam board).
Malaysian SPM 119
You need grade 6 or above (only grades 1, 2 or 3 are acceptable for Law).
Degree or HND taught in English for Postgraduate students
Proof of qualification is required.
Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE) II
You need Merit or Distinction.
