When awarded your undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree by the University of Bedfordshire, then you can apply for a Master’s degree at any university of your choice.

Marbella Design Academy´s three year BA (Hons) validated programme in Graphic Design & Media, offers you the chance to explore graphic design through a variety of traditional and digital media. The curriculum is based around holistic project-based teaching that emphasises an approach of design practice informed by research and analysis. Develop skills in design software, advertising, packaging, photography, drawing, printing, and audio-visual communication.

Graphic Designers create visual representations of ideas and messages using type, symbols, layout, and images. More than ever within this lively and competitive sector of the design industry, design professionals require the skills to communicate messages in increasingly imaginative ways.

There is an emphasis on breadth of style and medium throughout this programme. You will explore many processes during the programme, including typography, editorial design, design for brands, photography, three-dimensional design, image-making, design for web, design for mobile devices and book design.

This programme will empower you with creative problem-solving skills and technical knowledge that will enable you to work and contribute within the dynamic and continuously developing world of Graphic Design & Media. Graphic Designers are required for a diverse variety of products and activities; websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, computer games, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity.

As a Graphic Designer, you will create systems, solve problems and communicate ideas in order to direct, inform, entertain and challenge. The core skills of a Graphic Designer are rooted in communication, narrative, typography and an understanding of markets, people, stakeholders, and intentions. Graphic Design work has an important impact on the economic, political, social, cultural and personal lives of all of us.

Through the programme, you will progress from graphic experimentation into customised specialised interests, concluding in your final portfolio.

New introduction for the 8th of January 2019 intake. This January´s intake will enjoy an accelerated programme which allows you to complete the academic stage of training in 2.5 years, instead of the normal 3 years. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree, in Graphic Design & Media by our UK partner university (University of Bedfordshire). You will start in January and study continuously through Summer till August and progress into the second year in September of the same year. This means that you will be able to save on living costs during your studies and enter employment more quickly.  When you have satisfactorily completed your first year you will have four weeks of Summer holiday before starting your 2nd year on the16th of September 2019.
