M.Sc. Nursing

Rapidly expanding clinical knowledge and mounting complexities in health care mandate that professional nurses possess educational preparation commensurate with the diversified responsibilities required of them. The study of M.Sc. Nursing enriches them with the skills for clinical decision-making; case management; the provision of direct care; guiding patients through the maze of health care resources; and educating patients on treatment regimens and adoption of healthy life styles.

The M.Sc. degree programme in nursing is to equip the graduates with advanced concepts and competency to function efficiently and effectively in providing health care and education and contribute to professional development through research.  They function with competence to provide optimal health care to a variety of patients in general and specialized clinical areas more effectively and skillfully.  The students acquire knowledge and skills through self-directed and independent learning and research utilizing all the available resources.
