To promote the ability to understand and analysis of simple queueing systems. To promote the ability to estimate, understand and interpret some performance criteria of stochastic systems
Probability spaces, random variables, probability distributions, moments, moment generating functions, inequalities, central limit theorem, stochastic processes, Poisson processes, birth-death process, Markov processes and chains, introduction to queueing systems, Little’s Law, M/M/1 queues.
