M.Tech Civil Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering

M.Tech Civil Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering programme deals with geotechnical investigations, testing and analysis for civil infrastructure projects. This 2 year programme focuses to provide knowledge of basic sciences and engineering for assessing various rocks and soil deposits in solving geotechnical problems. Students interested in learning design of bridge piers, tunnels, pile, well, retaining wall can go for specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.

The students who have qualified their B.Tech/ B.E in Civil Engg./Petroleum Engg./Mining Engg. with 60% marks are eligible to apply for the admission to M.Tech Civil Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering Degree. Also, the students with an M.Sc in Soil Science with minimum 55% marks can apply for this degree. Moreover, GATE/NET qualified candidates always get preference from the university.

The programme enables candidates to identify engineering solutions to problematic grounds, design and analysis of foundations and earth structures. After completion of the degree candidates will be able to apply their knowledge in building infrastructure facilities working as a team with social responsibilities and ethics and pursue lifelong learning.
