M.Tech (ECE) with Specialization in VLSI Technology (Part time and Full Time)

The M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with specialization in VLSI Technology , offered by the  department is a  two year program having four semesters of duration. Goal of the department is to produce brilliant intellectuals matching to the needs of modern industry and other professional pursuits including entry into R&D, both within and outside the country. The students are required to take up a projects, seminar and dissertation for second year to implement the theoretical knowledge gained in first year of M.Tech.  and to develop the attitude for taking up research in their area of specialization .These dissertations can be taken up with R&D organizations and industries as well. The performance of the students is assessed by continuous series of tests/assignments and presentations in addition to End Semester Examinations to ensure highest academic standards.

This program is aimed to provide the students with wide variety of opportunities; both in industry as well as in the R&D fields .The curriculum is designed to make the students excel in the areas of Front Eng Design, Digital System Design, Back End Design and Low Power VLSI Design for  VLSI,  and Core Electronics. Student will also get an opportunity to obtain proficiency in Cadence Bundle Suite that includes INCISIVE, ENCOUNTER, RTL Compiler and VIRTUOSO tool packages and Xilinx as well.
