Applied Linguistics Research MA
This MA prepares you for an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded PhD in applied linguistics. It provides research training into applied linguistics.
Through the course you will:
- achieve a critical conceptual understanding of practice, thought, evidence and theory
- gain skills, knowledge and understanding to engage with and evaluate research and theory
- undertake advanced applied research, contributing to the development of new techniques, ideas or approaches
- make informed judgements on complex issues in specialist fields, often in the absence of complete data
- communicate your ideas and conclusions to specialist and non-specialist audiences
