English Literature with Creative Writing BA Honours (QW38)

You will be taught by a number of internationally acclaimed writers. Our teaching is closely linked to the programme of the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts (NCLA), giving you regular contact with leading creative artists.

We also work with the independent Northern Stage theatre, located on campus, and with the Royal Shakespeare Company to support your study of creative writing in the theatre.

In addition, you will have access to frequent public readings in the School by staff, visiting artists, and postgraduate students, including the Newcastle/Bloodaxe Poetry Lectures.
