Classics BA Honours (Q800)

Combine the study of Greek and Latin language and literature with an exciting range of cultural and historical topics.

You will develop fluency in both Latin and Greek, through a combination of language classes, textual study and translation.

You can learn from beginners' or advanced level.
Enjoy reading literature by major classical authors in the original language, and complement this with topics in the literature, art, philosophy, history and archaeology of Greece and Rome.

Enjoy working with the outstanding collections at the university-led Great North Museum: Hancock, and benefit from our excellent study resources including the Shefton collection on Greek Art and the Fletcher collection.
