You focus on the design of structures, such as bridges and buildings, through topics including:

• an introduction to architecture
• sustainable engineering systems
• construction management

You will enjoy high levels of design work and showcase your skills in sustainable engineering through design projects at each Stage.

Between Stages 2 and 3, you take a paid year in industry. This is a great opportunity for you to gain first-hand experience in the civil engineering sector. Some host companies even offer their placement students a job after they graduate.
