Civil Engineering with Year in Industry MEng Honours (H295)

This professionally accredited MEng Honours degree includes a year in industry and an additional year of Master's-level study, boosting your employability with advanced knowledge and work experience.

You'll learn about the infrastructure that underpins our quality of life, and develop a strong understanding of how society might address global challenges such as climate change, population growth and resource scarcity.

Between Stages 2 and 3, you take a paid year in industry. This is a great opportunity for you to gain first-hand experience in the civil engineering sector. Some host companies even offer their placement students a job after they graduate.

In Stage 4, you develop your research skills through an investigative research project. You also have the opportunity to specialise in:

  • geotechnical engineering
  • transport engineering
  • water resource engineering
