Our combined honors courses give you the opportunity to improve your employability by studying a further language alongside your degree under our Uniwide languages program.

Business:

You will be able to gain skills in all areas of business and make informed decisions about business strategy and operations. Your studies will draw on disciplines including business planning strategy, creative thinking, accounting and finance, human resources, leadership, marketing, and data analysis. Assignments are work-focused so that you can apply the business knowledge you gain to real-life work practices. The course focuses on entrepreneurship, as entrepreneurs have to have a good all-round understanding of their company, take a fresh innovative approach to improve business practices and identify new opportunities. We also offer four-year placement and exchange routes, where you have the opportunity to spend your third year on an industrial placement or studying overseas, after which you will return to study for your final year.

French:

This course places language learning within the wider context of French Studies including culture, society, literature, film, and history. The language units emphasize communicating effectively and developing transferable skills such as translating, interpreting, professional communication, and interview techniques, with practical language classes embracing speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We offer a wide choice of units related to France, which may include society, cinema, culture and linguistics. Our course is designed to help you achieve your full potential in a challenging and lively environment and enhance your employability in a competitive market. If you take French as a major or equal subject you will be required to spend your third year abroad, we will assist you in choosing from a wide choice of partner universities where you can study. After this, you will return to Manchester Met for your final year.
