Internships and Placements
Get ahead in the world of work with an industrial placement. Thanks to our strong business partnerships and cutting-edge applied research activities, we can offer you a wide variety of opportunities from short internships to year-long paid placements. More than half of our undergraduate programmes offer placements as part of the degree. See the progression tables on pages 39 and 43 to find out which degrees you can progress to that offer a placement.

• Career clinics provide one-to-one appointments with a professional career adviser.

2 Years PSW is applicable after the course completing (Bachelors level or above)

India

Minimum 60% in each subject from XII Standard exams
Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 can be considered with equivalent study from Bachelor's degree

For programmes requiring an IELTS 6 with no element below 5.5 (or equivalent), we can accept 70% in standard XII English as evidence of English language.

Undergraduate
High School Graduation Diploma completed with a G.P.A of 2.7 plus one of the following:

ACT Composite score of 24 minimum 
SAT(post March 2016) – score of 1000 minimum
SAT (pre March 2016) – score of 1500 minimum
AP’s - Generally we are looking for 2 Advanced Placements at minimum grade 3
2 SAT Subject Tests at a minimum score of 500
For some programmes across our academic schools, we will require ACT or SAT combined with AP’s or SAT subject tests at higher grades or in specific subjects

Year 1
College HNC: Electrical or Electronic Engineering or other relevant Engineering subject - graded unit 1 B (incl Engineering Maths 1 and 2) Please note - specific modules are required for entry. Attendance at GCU Maths Summer School is strongly recommended

Year 2 College HND: Electrical/Electronic Engineering/relevant Engineering subject (subject to unit profile) - graded unit B (incl knowledge of electrical machines and three-phase systems and Engineering Mathematics 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)

Knowledge of principles of electrical systems required by inclusion of modules such as Electrical Machines (H01T 34) and Three Phase Systems (DN47 34) within the HND (or equivalents).

Attendance at GCU Maths Summer School is strongly recommended.

English language IELTS score of 6.0 with no element below 5.5

Additional Part-time applicants must be in full-time relevant employment and sponsored by their employer
