B.A (Hons) Media and Communication (year 3 entry)
This direct entry program is one of the most highly regarded of its kind in Scotland. Covering press, broadcasting, and online, will equip you for a successful career in the media or related industries, such as advertising or public relations.
We take a broad-based approach to the study of broadcasting, the press, cinema, and the internet, examining the role and impact of media in society and how media industries are organized. You'll learn to be reflective in your thinking, while working intelligently, responsibly, and ethically.
Using industry-standard equipment you will develop radio and TV production skills in our state-of-the-art multimedia suite along with creative advertising and public relations skills in real world scenarios. We'll help you to learn to think creatively, analyze and evaluate content to produce innovative professional material across a range of platforms.

Your career
Graduates opt for further study or careers in the creative industries. Film and TV production roles are popular with recent alumni working for BBC Scotland, STV, Matchlight Productions and Syco Entertainment. Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
India
Minimum 60% in each subject from XII Standard exams
Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 can be considered with equivalent study from Bachelor's degree
For programmes requiring an IELTS 6 with no element below 5.5 (or equivalent), we can accept 70% in standard XII English as evidence of English language.
Undergraduate
High School Graduation Diploma completed with a G.P.A of 2.7 plus one of the following:
ACT Composite score of 24 minimum
SAT(post March 2016) – score of 1000 minimum
SAT (pre March 2016) – score of 1500 minimum
AP’s - Generally we are looking for 2 Advanced Placements at minimum grade 3
2 SAT Subject Tests at a minimum score of 500
For some programmes across our academic schools, we will require ACT or SAT combined with AP’s or SAT subject tests at higher grades or in specific subjects
