M.Sc Advanced Practice

Around the world, health and social care services are coming together to prioritise the support that individuals, families and their communities need. The level of practice needed to inform and contribute meaningfully to this global movement is being realised. As a result, advanced practice masters level qualifications for registered health and social care practitioners are in demand.

Glasgow Caledonian University is recognised as an institution committed to transforming lives through education and innovating for social and economic impact. The University's Masters in Advanced Practice has been designed in consultation with policy advisors, clinicians, students and patient representatives. We recognise the importance of service user and carer perspectives when it comes to defining a flexible approach to practice experience and in advancing core and area specific levels of clinical competence.

MSc Advanced Practice at Glasgow Caledonian University gives you exposure to worldwide health and social care perspectives. You will explore further the need to integrate service users and carers views into policy and practice development. And you will develop the confidence to embrace and promote professional leadership - so that you can contribute meaningfully to the modernisation and integration of health and social care delivery.

"Your masters experience will be focused on the four pillars of Advanced Practice; Clinical Practice, Facilitation of Learning, Leadership, and Evidence, Research and Development" (NES 2016)
