This qualification gives students who have completed a three-year engineering degree the opportunity to build on their previous skills, and understand the principles, concepts, and ideas that underpin a chosen specialization. It is designed to provide a pathway to further study in a master's program.

Job Opportunity Potential
The PGDipEng functions largely as a pathway for further study – while it can generally increase employment opportunities, this qualification ultimately supplements your three-year undergraduate degree with the additional skills needed to pursue an engineering masters degree.
PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
