Aircraft Structural Repair Technician (Ontario College Certificate)

With the Aircraft Structural Repair Technician program, you'll work on 45 to 60 technical projects that will train you to repair aircraft fuselages, control surfaces and wings, composite panels, plastics and sealing procedures. You'll learn how to meet the high standards of aviation safety by working on real projects with industry professionals in real airports. As well, you'll be trained to repair, overhaul and modify Canada's commercial aircraft fleet – the highest in-demand sector of the aviation industry. You can then find an exciting new career in your field of study by working with your program instructors and contacting potential employers locally and across Canada.

If your program was less than 8 months
- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or mature applicant with the following courses:
- Any Grade 12 English (C or U)
- Any Grade 12 Math (C or U)
Students who do not meet the admission requirements are recommended for academic upgrading. A conditional offer may be possible with proof of enrolment. Alternatively, applicants may choose to do the one-year preparatory program, Pre-Technology, that provides all the admission requirements for this program.
