Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Students must have completed a Bachelor of Science (AQF Level 7) or a related degree from a recognised higher education institution. A high level of achievement in the intended area of study must be demonstrated, and a grade point average of 5 or higher achieved across second and third year level courses that have been undertaken. These are minimum requirements and do not guarantee entry. Importantly, enrolment is contingent upon the School's capacity to provide appropriate supervision in the intended field of research.

INDIA

  • All India Senior School Certificate – awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and and overall First Division results; 
    or
  • Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) with a minimum grade average of 60% or better in the best 4 academic subjects in final year and overall First Division results; 
    or
  • State board exams, other than Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB), with a minimum grade average of 65% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results; 
    or
  • Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) and Haryana State Education Board (HSEB) exams, with a minimum grade average of 70% average across the 4 best academic subjects in the final year and overall First Division results; and
  • All applicants must have at least 50% in the theory component (where applicable) of any subject.
