Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) - Women's & Gender Studies
The Women's and Gender Studies program explore a wide range of women-centerd social, political and cultural issues. As a dynamic and interdisciplinary program, students study diverse theoretical and practical approaches, including popular culture and consumption, violence against women, lesbian/gay/queer studies, women in science and technology, human geography, indigenous feminisms, masculinity studies, and history.

The University of Manitoba's Women's and Gender Studies program is highly interdisciplinary, with full and joint appointed faculty members who are award winning researchers and artists.
The program is highly interdisciplinary, with full and joint appointed faculty members who are award winning researchers and artists. Courses are offered in the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology. Students are committed and engaged scholars who contribute to lively and challenging classroom experiences. The program offers students a range of extra-curricular opportunities, including internships with local feminist organizations, travel grants to attend academic conferences, and research assistantships with various faculty members. There is also the chance to gain editorial experience on the board of "FAQ: The University of Manitoba Feminist and Queer Undergraduate Review", which is published annually by an editorial collective of Women's and Gender Studies students. In addition, our students organize an annual Feminist Colloquium to showcase their scholarship.
