  • 3 years in Goldcoast campus only, rest of all get 2 years PSW.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Screen Production undertaking a major in Advanced Screen Production, applicants must have:

  • a Bachelor degree in Screen Production (or equivalent) or a Graduate Certificate in Screen Production (or equivalent) from a recognized tertiary institution - these students may be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing
    OR
  • a Bachelor Honours degree in Screen Production (or equivalent) or a Graduate Diploma of Screen Production (or equivalent) or from a recognized tertiary institution - these students may be eligible for 80 credit points of advanced standing
  • OR have a combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to either of the above - these students may be eligible for 10 to 80 credit points of advanced standing
    AND
  • a portfolio of professional work which may include documented professional experience or other evidence indicating the applicant's capacity to undertake and benefit from the program - for example, screenwriting samples, films (submitted on DVD or via VIMEO link), details of production or event management experiences (those who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Screen Production (3265) need not submit a portfolio for entry to the Master of Screen Production).

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Screen Production undertaking a major in Digital Filmmaking, applicants must have:

  • a Bachelor degree in any discipline
  • AND a portfolio of professional work which may include documented professional experience or other evidence indicating the applicant's capacity to undertake and benefit from the program - for example, screenwriting samples, films (submitted on DVD or via VIMEO link), details of production or event management experiences.

Portfolio requirements

A folio is required to gain entry into this program - please present your portfolio in a digital format.

Applicants for Screen Production programs must submit a compilation of films or videos or animations or games on which you have worked. You must clearly state your involvement if you are submitting group work. Your folio can also include your own scripts, storyboards, set designs, short stories, and still photographs.
