The programs focus on producing pharmacy graduates committed to lifelong learning who, having a sufficient understanding of the principles and techniques of pharmaceutical, clinical and social sciences, and after appropriate pre-registration training, can communicate and deliver pharmaceutical care in community and hospital settings and take professional responsibility for the manufacture and testing of pharmaceutical products.

• 3 years in Goldcoast campus only, rest of all get 2 years PSW.

Applicants are eligible for admission into the Master of Pharmacy subject to meeting the following criteria:

• completed an eligible science or health science Bachelor degree within the past 10 years;
• achieved an overall GPA greater than or equal to 5.0 (on a 7.0 point scale) in the last 18 months of undergraduate study;
• meet all of the following essential prerequisites at a tertiary level with a minimum level of Pass:
  • Biochemistry: One-trimester duration or equivalent
  • Chemistry: Two trimesters duration or equivalent
  • Pharmacology: One-trimester duration or equivalent
  • Physiology: One-trimester duration or equivalent
  • Statistics or Maths: One-trimester duration or equivalent

Where a student does not have the pharmacology prerequisite as part of their degree program they may enroll in 2018PHM Pharmacology which is offered in intensive mode during Trimester 3 each year.
