The SIT40716 Certificate IV in Patisserie will improve your skills in the kitchen and increase your ability to create sweet masterpieces. This course will build your experience so that you are able to take on a leading supervisory role in the kitchen and work fast and effectively in a commercial kitchen team to plan, prepare and bake mouth-watering cakes, sponges, tarts, pastries, chocolate, and sugar pieces.
This course will also cover aspects of financial management, staffing and teams, cleaning, food safety programs, hygiene, managing workplace conflict, and workplace health and safety. When you finish your studies, you will be able to demonstrate amazing creativity and flare and have an excellent eye for detail to create centerpieces with sugar, pastillage and chocolate using the latest baking equipment and machinery.
