Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management
If you love to travel and want to build a career in the travel industry then SIT50116 Diploma of Travel and Tourism is an ideal course for you to study. This course will give you a rewarding pathway to embark, by teaching you the practical skills needed to work in the travel and tourism industry in areas such as tourism visitor services, leisure and corporate travel consulting, luxury and adventure travel and hotel accommodation services.
This course follows on from SIT30116 Certificate III in Tourism or SIT30216 Certificate IIII in Travel which enables you to further develop an understanding of popular tourist destinations and the operations of a travel company, using the latest travel software programs. You will enhance your business skills to become a business leader, incorporate marketing functions, monitor staffing, finance and budgets, and assess risks, all within the travel and tourism law requirements.
When you complete this course, you will have built strong communication and customer service skills, so that you can engage positively with clients to make a lasting impression, which will make them want to return and become regular customers.
