Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face a unique set of personal and community health issues. Professionals working in this field require a broad set of skills and knowledge to deliver effective, responsive and compassionate health care. This course covers areas of community health, community development, cultural issues, comparative Indigenous health issues and Indigenous health research.

These are complemented with study in Aboriginal studies, psychology, sociology, education and other related areas. Job opportunities include working in the community sector, Aboriginal medical services or with state and federal health agencies. You can also elect to study subjects such as Introduction to Indigenous Australia, Critical Themes in Indigenous Studies, and Indigenous Peoples and Decolonisation: Global Perspectives.
